Basics are always something i'm lacking in. It's easy to get drawn to patterned shirts or brightly coloured dresses, but the reality is, you can get so much more wear out of simple things like white summer tees, a leather black bag or denim shorts. So today I decided to dress pretty simple, each and every item in this look can be worn with tons of colours, for so many occasions. Investing in these kind of basics means it's super easy to thow an outfit on in minutes, knowing you'll still look stylish and well thought out.

One of my newest basics I've been loving is this White Cami from Light In The Box. The loose fitting means it's super comfy, and I absolutely love the wrap over style on the front and back. Such a simple piece that can be styled for day with shorts and sandals, or tucked into an a-line skirt with block heels for a night on the town.

Another new addition to my wardrobe is this gorgeous nude blazer from Primark. I picked this up last week when I headed into town to do a little pre-birthday shopping with my boyfriend Jordan. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was a keeper. It feels so luxurious and quite thick for such a low priced jacket at under £20! I was also surprised to find this Chloe inspired bag from Primark, it has the classing ring beneath the fastening just like the designer versions, with additional tassles to the bottom of the bag as well a gold chain detailing to the straps, again an absolute bargain!

  1. I couldn't agree with this concept more, I cleared out my wardrobe recently and so many things were patterned and didn't really go together! So, I've been making an effort to buy more basics. lovely post as always x

    1. Thanks lovely! I really need to clear out my wardrobe too, good on you for taking the plunge! x

  2. You look great, I can't believe that bag is from Primark, it looks much more expensive! The white cami is cute too. You're so right about how simple pieces give you a bit more wear from your wardrobe. I always make sure I have my basic black jeans and white tops at the ready in case I'm too lazy to piece together different patterns/textures/colours for an intricate look x

    1. I do the exact same! My day to day looks for work are 100% basics, then I love to throw in a patterned jacket or bag when i'm heading out elsewhere x

  3. Cool outfit. You look great!
    Good vibes, FOX
