I'll be honest, when I first saw bloggers wearing brightly coloured pom-poms on their sandals, I was pretty surprised, and despite feeling like I'd never pull them off, I didn't actually want to. Yet, two months down the line and here I am, wearing a pom-pom dress. I feel like this happens with every trend, from wearing trainers with dresses, to kimonos or bomber jackets. Granted, this is the most daring of the previously listed trends, but what the heck, here I am wearing pom poms and I love it.
I opted for this beautiful Shein backless white dress lined with pom-poms around the neck line and back, simply because when trying the trend, I never want to go full-out at first. The colour combo of the Aztec red and yellow trim, along with the red pom-poms and white cotton work so much better than I expected, and I found this dress to be really flattering. Definitely the perfect summer dress to throw over a bikini at a beach, or dressed up with a statement necklace like this pretty gold one from Gamiss, for a night time look somewhere sunny.
Overall, I think the pom-pom trend is seriously growing on me, and since I've got a couple of days off work due to my birthday being last weekend, I think i'll be making a prompt shopping trip into town & buying myself a new pair of pom-pom espadrilles to match. Why the hell not?
