Today I'm stepping out of my comfort zone. For years I've steered clear of maxi dresses for the following reasons: 1. I'm only 5 ft 3, so most designs are either too long or made me look really really short. 2. Lots of designs out there aren't really for me, and are often quite like bridesmaid dresses, never day to day wear. 3. I'm used to sticking with my A-line mini skirts, and knowing what flatters my figure and what doesn't makes online shopping a hell of a lot easier!

But being a fashion blogger, you've just got to throw yourself at new trends, or ones which you were scared to try before. Simply because, why the hell not? What's the point of posting the same old thing on here every other day? So to my surprise, when I recently got this pretty boho maxi dress delivered to my door, it looked great on me! The material is light and thin, yet opaque, and although long sleeve and high neck maxi dresses may look a little strange, like you're not showing enough flesh, I figured that rolling up the sleeves and un-fastening a few buttons may be the right way to go. I really love how this looks, and I'd definitely wear this outfit on a summers day for a lunch date, or even a weekend shopping trip with friends.
What are your opinions on maxi dresses? Do you love them, hate them or steer clear because you're short like me?
