The 'Masquerade Ball' Look

When I think of Halloween, I think of cringy/cheesy outfits that look hilarious at parties, but not so great on a fashion blog. So when I was kindly offered to choose something to wear for Halloween on my blog from Sammy Dress, I had to think outside the box. I wanted something that wouldn't stray too far from that I would usually wear. I wanted something that I could also wear on any other day of the year (or special occasion in this case), something classic that I could jazz up to make it spooky... and this is what I came up with! I have to say, it looks a lot more classy than I'd imagined, and completely changed by body language and attitude to Halloween. I wierdly feel like an adult wearing this fancy dress outfit, it's probably the classiest i've felt in a long time!

I decided to build my item around this classic black maxi dress. I thought the design was sophisticated with just the right amount of flesh showing, and also with the long sleeves I made sure I wouldn't be too chilly when I wear it on Halloween night. When it arrived, it was super figure hugging as I expected, but rather flattering if you manage to cover your underwear lines. At under £12, this maxi dress from Sammy Dress is an absolute steal! For the shoes I decided to pick these pretty amazing Knee-High Heels with a gorgeous cut out detailing. I havn't worn them out yet but i'm hoping they're comfortable... they will definitely be my favourite pair of heels to date if I last all night in them! And finally, the Masquerade Mask & Blood Choker make this outfit really pop! They too were absolute bargains & are a really easy way to make a normal black maxi and heels into something super classy yet spooky!
