It seems like there are so many other people in the same boat as me.
Three years ago when I started blogging I did it for the fun, to create
cool content, try something new and to have a new hobby which also meant
I had somewhere to wear all of my new clothes. My vintage shopping
obsession had a purpose, and I loved sharing photos of them with the
world, and interacting via Twitter or the comments on my blog. Everybody
read blogs all the time, and even when your Instagram posts were not
polished in the slightest, you'd still give and receive encouraging
comments.

Following on from the Instagram algorithm and the popularity of bloggers swapping over to Youtube, It seems like most prefer to watch a quick video, flick through an Instagram story or like a photo than sitting down for half an hour to read a few of your favourite blogs. It feels like nowadays you have to try ten times as hard to get half as far, not only with engagement, but working with brands, trying to get people to shoot for you, promoting brands products on social media etc. For the past six months or so I've been feeling like there's something missing from blogging, something I need to change or something that has already changed which is out of my control, but I can't quite put my finger on it. My motivation has dropped. Every day when I came home from work I would want to jump onto my blog, write a blog post, reply to comments and read other people's blogs. Nowadays I feel like twice per week is enough, and it's so sad that I and a lot of other bloggers feel the same way. By no means do I want to stop blogging, or migrate to a different platform to express my outfits, I guess once you lose motivation, it's hard to build it back up when the commnity isn't as thriving or encouraging as it once was.
If you guys have ever felt like this, and have any tips on ways to spark inspiration, what to change or how to get motivated, let me know in the comments, I would love to hear your thoughts!
you look incredible!!
