MY NEW WORKOUT ROUTINE & DIET

 For the past couple of weeks I've been using an app you've probably heard of - My Fitness Pal. At first I just wanted to be aware of exactly what I was eating and how many calories or how much fat everything had in it. I've never been one to count calories but I've found its super easy when you can't quite work out which angle to take dieting from. So since the beginning of May I've lost a few pounds and I honestly think its slowly working in my favour. Working out has to be the thing that is the hardest to motivate myself to do since I'm out of the house 11 hours per day for work, and on Wednesdays when I'm off work I blog, and Sundays I'm usually having a rest day as Saturday nights I like to let my hair down with a glass of gin (and diet lemonade). I have been doing more home workouts than usual watching Youtube Zumba and Dance videos, and whenever I have a gym partner (usually once per week) I hit the gym to do 20-30 minutes of cardio with a few weights thrown in.

Food-wise I've been trying my best to cut out bread and havn't eaten chocolate in weeks! For breakfast I usually have porridge with milk, for snacks I have fruit - Bananas, apples, nectarines, or strawberries. For Dinner I switch between brown pasta with salad and tuna, or a chicken salad with a toasted sandwich thin on the side topped with reduced fat cottage cheese. Tea time can vary so much, today I made slow cooked lean pork with 2 carrots, 2 small potatoes, 10 green beans and a stock cube and seasoning. Other days I might fancy what I had for lunch, or I could have jacket potatoes, chicken and salad with a side of low fat coleslaw. Typically I eat 1400 calories per day at the moment whereas before I started with My Fitness Pal I'd estimate I ate around 1800 - 2000.

I know anything is achieveable if you try hard enough, but to be honest I havn't got any goals set in stone. I was just becoming increasingly aware that I was eating rubbish food and paying for the gym but not going. If I had to say a goal RN I'd probably say 1 stone off, but mainly I just want to feel better about how I look. And on that topic, how cute are my new gym clothes from Shein! This two piece is only £15.99 and I'm absolutely in love! The pants are much higher waisted than anything I have in my wardrobe and my goodness they're comfy. I've already worn the leggings with a white tee to run some errands earlier in the week, but in today's outfit I styled them how I would wear them working out.
