WHAT I DID IN BARCELONA

On 14th May Jordan and I took a short break to Malgrat De Mar in Barcelona! It's a place I've never visited before but definitely one I want to visit in the future. We went for four nights and got a pretty great deal from OnTheBeach.com, staying in a hotel called Reymar Playa half board. One thing I'm super glad we got to do was try some amazing food places, Jordan went on trip adviser and instead of me just picking somewhere that looks nice from the outside to eat, we stuck to the list and worked our way down it. We also took some pretty cute photos by the beach on timer, so instead of asking a passer by and just have one photo, we took lots, some in funny poses, some in cute romantic poses like the photo above.
The hotel was great for what we needed, but next time I would probably pay a little more as the food was 6/10. It was £80 per person for 4 nights with breakfast and tea which is an absolute steal. Above you can see our balcony and view which was amazing. The location of it was really great too, it was only about a two minute walk to the beach and as we were right at the front of the main road, we were really close to all of the bars (which surprisingly weren't loud!) On the right I'm trying my first ever Spanish Paella, kinda drunk on Sangria in the number one restaurant in Malgrat De Mar according to Trip Adviser, Bei Pepe. It was 15 euro for the Paella but SO worth it. In the paella there was octopus, calamari, squid, mussels, prawns and langoustines. I'm not usually one for trying new food but this was delish!!
One place we visited was called Maui Beach Club that did Pizza and Seafood. I of course opted for Pizza as did Jordan and we got probably the best seat i could have wished for - right next to the beach with the prettiest ocean view ever! The restaurant had really cool waterfalls and African statues, plus the staff were super friendly too!
The view from our balcony overlooked Malgrat Squash - A cool place with football, squash and mini golf courts. Jordan and I got a beer and as many games as we wanted on mini golf for 3.5 euro each! Plus the bars did super amazing cocktails on the main road and bottles of beer were 1.7 euros, I couldn't believe how cheap it was! We also went on Trip Adviser to search for cool bars and we loved Pub Eureka for karaoke and quizzes, New Crown and Anchor for cheap drinks where they play English music and sports and Beertual do the most amazing Caipiroska I've ever had.
